One thing about Clafton is that he wll not be outcoached. Unfortunately for Greenway he probably won't be around for very long. Some school wth more money and a bigger program will eventually hire hm away from Greenway.

Green Machines have had a good deal of time off. Is it gonna hurt them or help them? They should be healthy and ready to play, or one would think?

I'm of the school that a game say Thursday would have been a good thing. Can't say 10 days off is going to be a good thing for the raiders. I will take Hibbing 4-3

I thought I saw that KMFY in GR is streaming this game. Can anyone confirm? If so, it will be the 1st time I listened to Greenway on the radio since they had Antonavich and Peluso and the boys. I was a grade schooler then.

This is not really on topic, but I'd like to say how nice it is to see Greenway making some waves again! I used to play against the likes of Ken Gernander, the Miller brothers, Tomlin, Vekich and on and on. They were the best team I saw and played against in 87.

I sure hope this is an indication of where they are headed - I'd love to see them back up in AA someday soon.

Proud season to be a Raider!
Yea the schedule wasn't that tough but the tough teams they did play they hung right in there with them.
Good luck in the second season! Time to go to war! Hopefully can pull a upset or two in the semis n in the finals!
Be great to see jelly green n white at the X even if it's for a day

Greenway lost one of its defensemen for the rest of the season. Incurred a concussion and cracked ribs as a result of a dirty hit by two Johnson players. One of them received a major.

What a great year.. Hermantown was so much better. Greenway didn't have a chance. Hope the guys work hard in the off season and return to Amsoil next year.

Good stuff from the green this year and always sad when you lose a player the way it sounds it went down. Maybe 30 year reunion of the 1987 run is in order.

Agree with that. I'm sure they are anxious for next year already. Congrats on a great season.

I will second with Tezer...(played with him) that group in late 80's was quite a team. I remember back then we would stay the families
for tourneys. I got the stay with Ken Gernander and family. Instant friends! Still remember boot hockey in the road.

Fast forward to today...they have a real nice Bantam A team. Greenway hockey is alive and well. Congrats on a great season!
