Well, as expected Hermantown will be the #1 seed at state. Looks like Mankato West, LDC, and the 5A winner will be the unseeded teams. I know the draw is "random", but here's a guess as to the seeds:

1. Hermantown
2. Breck/Delano
3. Cathedral
4. TRF/EGF
5. SPA/TG or LF if they win 6A.
6. LDC
7. Princeton/MAML
8. West

1A, 5A, and even somewhat 3A are all very similar sections. They're all likely to be the bottom three seeds, and they're "random draw" so this is likely itrrelevant, but..

How does a schedule of MAML, Rogers, STMA, Greenway and Little Falls compare to one of St Cloud Apollo, St Cloud Cathedral, SPA (x2), New Prague, Orono, Northfield and Rochester JM?

To Orono (x2), New Prague, Holy Family, Delano (x2), Luverne (x2)?

Also comparing West and LDC, Mankato beat New Prague, whereas LDC lost 6-3.

Logically you could rank either of the three teams 6, 7, or 8. However, I'd think that the Section 5A winner may be closer to drawing Hermantown than the other two.

Isn't having them on a schedule irrelevant, its if you can beat any of them. Anyone can play the best team and get routed but actually beating 1,2 or 3 of them it the important part.
