WHITE BEAR MARINER HOCKEY 11-YEAR HISTORY
In July of 2013, I completed a story "BRINGING BACK THE MEMORIES THE 11-YEAR HISTORY OF WHITE BEAR MARINER HOCKEY".
It contains yearly highlights, some game reports, stats, team and individual records and comments from the teams only head coach - Tom Simpson.
The school was open from the 1972-73 season through 1982-83 before merging with White Bear Lake. The building is now White Bear South Campus for juniors and seniors. Freshman and sophomores attend White Bear North Campus, which was White Bear Lake High School.
Although Mariner did have some players drafted by NHL teams, only 1983 graduate Jeff Parker played in the NHL.
Well over 250 copies have already been distributed to former players, coaches, parents, former students at Mariner and fans who had nothing at all to do with Mariner - including forum member Zach Halverson.
If anyone is interested in obtaining the 188-page PDF file of the story (free of charge), please send me a private message on here with your email address.
Thanks.

Someday I might. But not now, as long as the requests keep coming.blueblood wrote:how about you let this just fade away...like the school.

I agree, you two should lead the fight to ban reading about anything that doesn't exist anymore. You can organize a book burning for anything referencing the North Stars. After that, the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Baseball Giants! And then, fight to get History banned from the Schools and Universities. Don't let anyone stop you! As long as you have a computer in Mom's basement, you can accomplish your dreams!Goldy Gopher wrote:Brilliant.blueblood wrote:how about you let this just fade away...like the school.

They didn't go undefeated for no reason.blueblood wrote:I recall that team, beat my hometown Elks that year.
Great 1-2 guard combo that could shoot the outside jumper and then get the ball to your 6'4" center low in the post for an easy layup. Unstoppable combo...
