No Goalie for Cambridge-Isanti
Does anyone know the MSHSL rules for a team that does not have a goalie? Can the High School get a Junior Gold goalie from a surrounding community? Any options for these boys that still want to play would be great.[/b]

Any former youth goalies that could be drawn back into playing again? North Branch had a first year junior goalie that split time and did well. Hunter Miska also started playing goalie as a ninth grader and ended up with the NTDP squad two years later... Currently at UMD. Get the word out in the school hallways to some athletic kids and you might find a gem. Good luck!

CI was able to talk a former youth goalie into putting the pads back on. He hasn't played in 3 years, but is a good athlete (and was a good goalie). They also were able to pull up one of the bantam goalies to play JV (they only have one bantam team and the better goalie stayed at bantams). They will be able to field and play their varsity and JV schedule. It will be a difficult season (nothing new), but the kids will be able to play.
