Marshall is very young, but they have one of the best coaches in the Area. They should be pretty good in a year or two.Hard water fan wrote:You might have meant to post this on the boys forum? Sean Storie. Yea. I'm thinking the Duluth Marshall will be routinely winning 7AA in the near future going forward. ei. Duluth East in boys hockey. I don't think this is going to happen until about 2022 at the earliest. Andover and Forest Lake have way too much talent coming up in the next 0-3 years.kniven wrote:Yea. Marshall routinely at state? LOL yesh sure. Maybe if they start filling those new dorms with internationals superstars. If not sorry. Boys went AA because they can't compete with Hermantown at A and can't recruit anyone good. It's the last gasp. Their girls team is young, but won't be a factor despite having the best "skill development coach" (homer). Skills are made in the off season.Hermantown and Hibbing girls are the only programs that will continue to do good at A especially when all the good players from Duluth decide to move to the suburbs and get a free education and a good hockey team instead of paying 15 large to attend a crappy school.
Yes. Good points pepper. Numbers are really, really bad as a whole with most if not all girls squads north of Forest Lake. Kudos to CEC for playing AA on girls side. Extreme underdogs every year in 7AA. Me, personally, i would not have a cow if the girls moved down to A. But I'm an idiot! What do I know. I know this though. Sean storie? He played for Superior right? Runs a bar or something like that in Superior? I never knew the guy coached. I looked back through Marshall history...from Konawalchuk, to Ryan Coole for a short period to a Genereau for even a shorter period to now storie. Yeah, he played at Superior High and then a couple years in the USHL. He coached Team Wisconsin Midgets for 4-5 years and then in the NAHL for awhile before moving back. I don't know if he runs a bar but he's the Development Coordinator for Rapid Fire which I believe is a full-time position.Rocketwrister wrote:Sean storie? He played for Superior right?
