Hi everyone, my name is Zach Halverson and I wanted to let you know that we got ourselves a hockey game that'll be broadcast on The Horn tonight. East Ridge and White Bear Lake wage battle in the state's worst arena with the most god-awful parking situation that they decided to make even worse somehow because the incompetency surrounding the Vadnais Sports Center runs deeper than anyone could have ever imagined.

Come on, it's not that bad. There are at least 30 parking spaces.ZachHalverson wrote:Hi everyone, my name is Zach Halverson and I wanted to let you know that we got ourselves a hockey game that'll be broadcast on The Horn tonight. It is unbelievable, did the county sell off the portion of the parking lot that they built the bank to the east and the new building to the west? The first game, the lot was overflowing, so I parked in the Tousley motorsports lot, and almost got locked in for the night. The guy from Tousley, told me that they got a letter from the county telling Tousley that they expected them to provide overflow parking for the arena.barry_mcconnell wrote:Come on, it's not that bad. Keep in mind that attendance last night was average for a Tuesday night, but well below average for many other games. I can't imagine what an average Saturday crowd is going to be like.inthetwine wrote:It is unbelievable, did the county sell off the portion of the parking lot that they built the bank to the east and the new building to the west? I noticed that Tousley Motorsports added gates on their parking lot. Smart move, and I laugh at the idea of the county telling a private business what they can do with their own parking lot. Enjoy that lawsuit guys!
I overheard that the arena asked Coach Sager to bus the Bears in from another lot for the Hill-Murray game on the 22nd so that the players don't park at the arena. Yep, they want the Bears to take a bus TO THEIR OWN HOME ARENA!
I had hope with Ramsey County, but as I stated earlier the tradition of incompetency has continued.
BTW, White Bear Lake plays Hill-Murray on December 22nd. Mounds View and Woodbury are scheduled to play on the other rink. That's gonna be fun!
Just wait until we get some snow, and the mounds start building up in the few spaces available. The only spaces remaining will be for the handicapped! (Unless they ask them to park at the dealership and walk over.)ZachHalverson wrote:Keep in mind that attendance last night was average for a Tuesday night, but well below average for many other games.
