3-1 ER. Bizal scores the 2nd goal, tap-in on a 2-1 pass from J Perbix. Jax M then scored an EN goal in last minute.

Rapids made a nice push to start the third that had ER chasing and not sure how Hain missed that feed from Miller. Overall very even, GR goalie is a brick wall. Elks just seemed to have a little better legs tonight. Very nice rebound game for ER after the debacle last night, credit to the new head coach.

Several pundits and commentators said no team could go 3-0 with this level of competition, and I guess they were right.

Congrats to Elk. Couldnt believe how they could go from so hot Thursday to cold last night, and then come back with hot effort to stay close and win it tonite. ( Maybe they were just plain old gassed yesterday, and Ben M had a bit of an off night also.)

Hats off to Rapids with great effort tonite and entire tourney, and with just a bit of puck luck the 3rd period Miller pass from far corner to Hain in front of the net might have been deflected in to give them the lead and perhaps lead to a different outcome. McGlaughlin clearly in running for tourney MVP No. 1 star.

Anyway, If Im thinking right, no matter what happens in final game tonite, Elk should jump from No. 4 to No. 2 with Stillwater moving up to 1 , Rapids should stay at 3 because of loss to Elk , and EP drops to 4 because of two losses at a minimum. Edina should probably move up to five due to the overperformance beyond expectation. Will see how my logic compares to Karl in the morning.

(I have to say however, having seen Stillwater once, Im not sure they are any higher caliber than these 4 teams, probably about the same, and could make an argument they are somewhat lower caliber than a couple )

I don't think Mittelstadt scored the second one. He didn't celebrate and the other kid did.

The other kid wouldn't react like that if he didn't score

I didn't see the GR-ER game.

Regarding EP-Edina, I think CM was the difference. EP had the high end guy to finish, Edina didn't have that finisher. I thought Edina had plenty of chances. But once EP made it 4-1, I think Edina's wind kind of got taken right out from under them. The rest of the game was what it was. I don't think Edina lacked effort at all, just the way it happened.

EP really did seem to be energized on the bench as a team though & seemed like they really wanted this one. I can't comment on their energy level the first two games, but they really seemed into it on the bench, from top to bottom. Perhaps that was because of how the game was playing out. Easier to be upbeat & energetic when the game is going your way.
