Lost their first 3 just to get us all feelin' cocky Now they win 5 straight & pull off back-to-back upsets by same identical score. I think they picked up a couple ringers in the off-season & have been sandbaggin'.

Also slipping - Taters tied Alex tonite (thanx to the Alex goalie). Last I heard shots were 39-11.
I was there and even though Moorhead put up a lot of shots, nothing really stood out to me as "Wow, what a save". They were all pretty generic shots that Randazzo was able to control his rebounds on. And when a rebound was given up, it seemed like Alex had things packed in pretty good to clear it out. So there were a lot of one and done.
One is all you need if you put it where the goalie isn't. Evidently they couldn't.

Was hoping Rogers would have knocked off STMA to really stir things up, almost.

If STMA and Roseau meet in the final, I'm assuming the logical site for that game would be the Sanford Center in Bemidji. 130 miles for Roseau and around 180 for STMA.

That would make sense.
It would be nice for me.
BUT it would be in St. Cloud.

How do they determine the location for 8AA? Does the high seed get to choose as long as it isn't in their home town?

Well, good news.
The committee has TRF, St Cloud and Bemidji.
So Mikey's and Roseau will be Bemidji.

Bemidji: 4 St. Cloud: 2

Very good and tight game throughout. I know this St. Cloud team doesn't have themselves a section win, or really a quality win but they looked very fast and explosive. It was a pretty close game until St. Cloud hit about a 7 minute lull in the third where they just couldn't get anything going. Outside of that however I would say that they played with the Jacks, maybe even out played them at times. However Elliot might have a different take on it.

Having watched St. Cloud multiple times this season they're a pretty streaky team. When they're on, they're on. But when they're off, they look lost. I think that they're capable of pulling an upset in sections if a team takes them lightly and if they're on their game. Who knows, maybe it's just the homer in me.

That's the way it went.

It looks like Bemidji just locked up the No. 5 seed in Section 8AA and a return trip to Brainerd to play the Wizards in the 1st round of playoffs :-k
Brainerd 2 - Bemidji 1, OT

No, no, no.
Bemidji 6 - 5 in their 3 games with Brainerd, surely they will get the second seed.

Looks like Moorhead is rolling.

1 Moorhead
2 St Mikes
3 Roseau
4 Brainerd
5 Bemidji
6 Buffalo
7 St Cloud
8 Rogers

Still some 8AA head to head games that throw this off, but from where I sit, it does not matter much as Moorhead will be at the X.

You never know Elliott, Bemidji could knock off Moorhead in the second round of the playoffs :-k The Wizard of Aus has never won a sectional playoff game since he's been exiled to Brainerd [-(

Pretty sure its Moorhead's year.
And they would surprise some of the BIG shots.

But I would not be bothered if it turned out to be Buffalo, Brainerd, or St Mikes.

Would be real happy with Roseau or Bemidji.

Nothing against Moorhead, but like the Bemidji student body cheered at the X the last two years,
"We hate Moorhead!"

Bemidji has this left...

vs. Roseau
at St. Michael-Albertville
vs. Grand Rapids
vs. Warroad
vs. Hermantown
vs. Moorhead
at Thief River Falls

If the Lumberjacks win out, seeding will be destroyed....
Brainerd would have to move to #1.

It is too bad the St. Mike's doesn't play Bemidji, Brainerd, Moorhead and Roseau twice or at least a couple of them twice. I have to believe that they will benefit from that come seeding time as the rest of us have beat up on each other throughout the year.

To many Mississippi 8 games. At some point in the not to distant future STMA will be to big for the M8 and will be exiting the conference. Not sure where they would go? NW Sub at 14, Lake??

The new Mississippi River Conference
Bemidji, Grand Rapids, Brainerd, St Cloud, St Mikes, Elk River....
after that the river becomes too polluted to allow any one else.
(maybe Rogers... so Bemidji could win at least one game a year.)

Wow 😳 ... not only do the Jacks seem to be on a little roll, but from what I hear (according to Roseau and STMA fans) ... they have the officials (at home AND on the road) in their pocket ... if that is true, they are going to be a TOUGH OUT! 😂
