I'm listening on kozyradio.com and they said Gavin Hain is a scratch today and that Blake McLaughlin is sitting the first period. Feeling the effects of that, 2-0 Moorhead early 1st.

I watched the video stream but there is no play by play. You can hear all of the sounds in the building. I was wondering where 7 and 8 were.

What do you make of this team DJ? Are they going to right the ship or are they going to implode. I am getting a bad feeling about them.

I don't over react to regular season games, especially when a team is already locked into a seed for the section tournament. I wouldn't bet against the top 3, Stomp, and Holum making a big enough impact for a deep playoff run. As a team they just have to be ready to go for a quarterfinal home game vs either Duluth Marshall or Andover. Hopefully with the season on the line the players will all agree to stop 100% the extra slashes and shoving after the whistle and just focus on the playing the game the right way and listening to their coaches and doing exactly as they say.

It's nice to see Coach Klatt putting his foot down regardless what the parents threaten. Coaches and parents shouldn't be pals. It makes me respect Duluth East even more. Success breeds greed...except for at Randolph's East program. Let's hope Coach Klatt can hold on to this amazing franchise despite the parents. That's the case for every head coach in Minnesota high school hockey.

This thread was Rapids and Moorhead. Your valuable insight would be much appreciated in the East and Maple Grove thread.

I seldom make a post like that but since you are such an idiot I will make an exception.

The "but we were missing this player and this player" excuse is getting old. If your team really gets blown out because of missing 1 player, you aren't going to go far anyways.

I've seen Rapids play in person 6 times this year so I do think I have some insight.

I see that the Grand Rapids discipline issues have spread to you. Personal attacks aren't welcome on this forum. Attacks on the quality of the team are okay.

When I made reference to 7 & 8 being out I was just making an observation. It isn't an excuse for a lackluster effort, however it certainly had an impact as it would for any team missing a top forward to illness and another being benched for a period. Bottom line is 7AA is wide open. I won't be surprised if the Final is East/ER or GR/CEC. I think both semifinal games are going to be close games either way. The Hounds haven't been lights out lately either, and are 2-3 vs Rapids the last 5 meetings.

. I will apologize for my post. I usually don't get into that kind of thing. However, if you are going to ruffle feathers, and you do plenty, you can expect some kick back now and then.
