AA Goalie Performance

Post by WestMetro »

Karl or Lee can check me out on this.

Using Hub data this morning, I counted over 20 Top 20 AA goalies, including rotaters with large minutes, that were over 90% save percent.

I dont recall anything close to that number. Usually 10-15.

So congrats to this years tenders, and the long list of excellent D keeping them out of harms way.

(Also maybe, is the list of Top 20 accomplished pure snipers down a bit?)

Agreed. Some goalies are out there bringing it every night. Good D corp for some teams - though it seems that the quality of shooters that can snipe has gone down since last year.

Good point Deadly.....just looking through game sheets - you see some of the names more often some goal scorers graduated. Would be fun to compare goals per game this year versus last year.

Karl would have to do the research on average goals per game for the Top 20 AA class teams. With the good goalie performance stats this year, the average goals per game may be down a bit.

As another perspective, here are the top AA point scorers for top 20 AA teams through last Saturday nights games.

I think the ones in first group shown below would generally be consensus pure sniper goal scorers, not sure how many more after that

Dont know how this would compare to recent year trends.

MIddlestadt EP 57
Cates SW 56
Huff MG 55
Miller GR 52
McGlaughlin GR 46
Hain GR 43
Walker ED 42

Ahcan BVL 44

Brandt LVN 44
Randklev MH 44

Oconnell MH 41
McGregor CENT 43
