Class A Seeds
We know this much:
1. Hermantown
2. Delano
Unseeded: Northfield, Luverne, MAML
One would think Mahtomedi (assuming their lead over SPA, which is 3-0 after two as I write, holds) would be #3 because they beat SCC, and SCC and EGF only tied. Their overall record isn't great, but they have played a tough schedule, so I'm not inclined to knock them for that...though maybe the coaches will, and for what it's worth, PS2 has them third of the three teams that will be 3-5. Tough to separate EGF and SCC, too. LPH would seem to indicate the Zephyrs at 3, EGF at 4, and SCC at 5. One of those teams is going to get the benefit of the 3-seed and a much easier road to the semis, and avoid a potential meeting with Hermantown until the final.

Re: Class A Seeds
I think the strength of the Zephs schedule should definitely give them the 3 seed...yes I'm biased.karl(east) wrote:We know this much:

Go Zephyrs
Hypothetically Karl.....
Where would Hermantown get seeded, if at all, in AA? They would be 0-1-1 against the AA field, with both those games coming against teams that will not be seeded. They also played a fairly weak, comparitively speaking, schedule compared to the other AA teams, 8th out of 8 by a fairly wide margin.
I know, this is s loaded question....

Heh, loaded indeed. I'd put them at #2...not sure those very early results should count against them, and all the records of State teams against each other are garbled...I just think they've had the 2nd most impressive season of anyone in the state after EP.goldy313 wrote:Hypothetically Karl.....

I think STA is #2 in AA (#3 if Hermantown were AA), so that would set up a mouth-watering semifinal...but, we'll never know.
