WBL bold pick.
But few thought they would beat Cloquet.
Too bad its a 4 hour drive for me, hope someone posts updates.

I’m not sure about that statement. The Bears were rated higher than the Jacks in Karl’s preseason rankings, and the game was in WBL.

Karl was/is sandbagging. He down plays all of 7AA till the end.
(And his real talent is his podcast voice not his hockey knowledge.)

Not denying WBL being good, very good, but DEast is a beast (Cloquet a step behind, right, knivesey).
Edina is better but its Moorhead's year.
Hammerin' Ammerman will get the most from those Spud boys.

Assuming Karl knows something:
Qoute"

2. Duluth East
10. White Bear Lake
That's why it is a bold pick.

No need to wait for updates. Zach Halverson confirmed WBL/DE will be broadcast online at "The Horn", and their website indicates this. http://www.thehornwbl.com. I'd be there if I hadn't been under the weather since Thanksgiving.

Agreed. CEC was the underdog by a wide margin on the picks for the week to the Bears.

I’m not sure about that latter statement. The Bears were rated higher than the Jacks in Karl’s preseason rankings, and the game was in WBL.
Sorry, I should have clarified my statement better above in that I was only referring to cloquet being favored over WBL. I agree that picking the Bears to win over East is a bold choice.

This is a chance for White Bear Lake to get a 'statement' win. This is their 3rd game, East's 1st. Neither Mageau nor Lanigan likely playing for East. Bears are playing at home and there must be at least a little excitement among the WBL faithful that they have a pretty good team. Their building should be home-crowd rocking.
