Shots 62 to 5 in favor of the Spuds. Woof. The poor Rapids goalie probably feels like a piñata after that game.

Unfortunately, there have been a few games for Rapids this year that lopsided in shots.

Rapids losing their top three kids early gives them a taste for what suburban schools experience when the players from their youth programs opt for private schools.

Hockey in GR started out about as good as it gets in 2017. I must admit though, definitely anxious to put this year behind and move onto 2018. Hopefully the team can do the same.

Yes and no. The larger suburban schools typically have a lot more depth in their programs than GR does, so they can afford to lose some players and still field a strong HS team. Also, losing a kid to a private school prior to their enrollment in high school means that the coach can plan on moving forward with developing the players he has on hand. A player jumping to the junior ranks is more of a sudden loss of talent from the program.
