The Centennial vs Irondale game intrigues me quite a bit, we will see if the Knights can keep it close.

John Marshall vs Mayo has lost its luster but still is among the better and longest rivalries in the state.

Mankato East vs Albert Lea, the winner is likely the #1 seed in 1A.

East 4, Lakeville South 1, Final. Randolph pulled some message-sending moves, starting Hanson and goal and breaking up WMD, sliding Lyle up to the top line and Worth down to the second. South put on a clinic in trapping and packing it in. They scored their one goal early in the 3rd to make it 2-1 and briefly make it interesting, but East got the 3rd shortly thereafter. When East took a penalty with 6 minutes remaining, Bucchino pulled his goalie and we played 5 minutes with an empty net (including the first 4:30 or so of that with no whistles) before Lyle finally found it. Not East's most stirring effort, but they found a way through the South wall and didn't panic when it became a one-goal game.

The third period of the Orono – Cathedral game looked bananas from the box score. That would have been a great game to attend. The Cathedral offense can be seriously explosive at times.
