In the quarters, the evening bracket has the most intrigue. The Moose are arguably the best of the unseeded teams, and it's a rematch of last season's title game in the early game...Hermantown of course will be the heavy favorite, but there's some history there. And the late game, as usual, should provide a good one, and I'm curious to see what Alexandria can do after their run through 6A.

Orono blew out Litch twice, but Litch has been passable at times. And Mahtomedi lost to the 1A rep last season, so not quite a guarantee there. But the semis could well boil down to a metro championship vs. a greater MN championship, with the winner of each facing off for the title.

Love the way the class A tournament looks, very much a southern bracket and a northern bracket.Mahtomedi seems to have a difficult time with southern Minnesota teams in the quarterfinals,Northfield last year and New Ulm gave them a tough game in 15.

I disagree about Monticello being the best of the unseeded teams. LDC defeated them 3-1 at the end of January, and Monticello really doesn’t have any significant wins. Additionally, pairing conference foes LDC and Orono for a third time is not the most entertaining matchup.
