Just wondering what games would be exciting to go watch to start the high school season off.

Not just because they're my home team, but Grand Rapids vs. Forest Lake is a big section matchup because it is their only reg. season matchup. Last year they did not play each other, had Grand Rapids played them and won GR would have been 3 and FL #4 in the brackets. So this game will definetly have some weight when the coaches meet to set the playoffs.

Saturday November 26, 7:30 P.M. at St. Thomas Ice Arena. St. Thomas versus Rochester Lourdes in a rematch of their thrilling double overtime section final last year where St. Thomas defeated the Eagles 2-1. Both teams seem to be top 15 class A material. Should be a great game, the arena will be rocking.

Good Early Match ups

Post by ronnyevhs »

If the schedules on the MSHSL website are true

Duluth East Vs Wayzata on the 3rd of December might be good,

same with:
Wayzata V. Burnsville on 11/25
Centenniel V. Roseville on 12/3
Breck V. Stillwater on 12/1
White Bear Lake V. CEC on 12/9

some pretty good ones if they are accurate and if the rankings or reports on how good a team is going to be are true!

those mshsl schedules aren't final yet, because wbl will prolly end up playing hill before then. Which would end up being one of the best opening games.
The curse lives on.....

HM and WBL play on 12/6, according to this link...w ...

The schedule is mostly complete but games for some outstate teams are still missing. Props to Bruce for being a huge help to me in compiling these. Hill-Murray

Post by Hillfan »

Hill will open their season up on December 1st at 8:00 PM against Wayzata. The game will be held at Aldrich. They actually play WBL in their 3rd game this year. The 2nd game will be on the December 3rd against St. Paul Johnson.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... Hillfan at: 10/21/05 2:54 pm

Wayzata has lost a lot

Post by sloppyice »

Wayzata lost a lot of talent and go to guys last year.
Wehrs,Lucia, Davis, Laurenitis are gone.....
Miller looks banged up in football, if he is not 100% at the beginning of the year...I would look elsewhere for good matchups. But maybe Davis will be able to coach
now that his son is gone.

Rochester Century vs White Bear Lake @ White Bear Lake December 3rd. It was a close game at state last year and this year both teams look better.

Roseau opens with Thief River Falls at Engelstad on Tuesday, November 29th. The two teams switch opponents on the following weekend when Totino Grace and Blaine make the trip up north. The Rams play Blaine on Friday and Totino Grace on Saturday.
Ram Hockey

A good season opener??? how bout Bloomington Jefferson vs Bloomington Kennedy in the first regular season game of the season. cant get any better than cross-town rivals to get the season started.........how bout when moorhead comes down to Bloomington late in the season for a rematch vs BJ. That will turn out to be pretty good game to see.

TRF - TG is top of the list ..... it pretty much decides where one of the teams will be spending their first half of the season in the rankings

Due to having to go to two family Thanksgivings, I won't be able to check out any of the games until 11/29. Games I'll consider checking out:

St. Thomas Academy @ Redwing
Faribault @ Northfield
Prior Lake @ Owatonna
Edina @ St. Louis Park
Rosemont @ Roseville

I wish I was close enough to check on Cloquet @ Grand Rapids.
