(No Brink)

1. Tonka (Glockner, Luedtke and deep F's the difference in these near-sighted preseason eyes)
2. DE
3. Andover
4. Edina (Andover slight edge as they're just 'grittier' than Edina / Edina G situation in ? otherwise, easy flip-flop here)
5. CDH (slight edge over STA)

Seems to be a consensus top 6 AA teams among the regulars: Westy, 59ner, Cake, Knife

Andover
CDH
Duluth East
Edina
Minnetonka
STA

After that, I believe the next grouping of teams are likely to include:

1AA - LN
2AA - Chaska, Ep
3AA - Rosemount
4AA - ?
5AA - Blaine, MG
6AA - Wayzata
7AA - CEC
8AA - Brainerd

Lakeville South will surprise a lot of people in 1AA this year.
2AA and 3AA covered nicely.
4AA is a crap shoot, who knows what's going to happen there.
5AA with BB returning Blaine may have an edge.
6AA Blake may be better than people think.
7AA Another new coach for CEC, look for them to struggle.
8AA who knows...

If Rochester Century gets reasonable goaltending they will win 1AA. In a one game winner takes all strange things happen and 1AA is a poster child for that.

Going in Rochester Century should win the section.

I get the 1 game deal, but the schedule the Rochester schools play is not conducive to a deep playoff run.

Looking at Century's schedule, it's entirely plausible that they'll be undefeated going into their game with White Bear in the last week of the regular season. I struggle to name the next-most difficult game on their schedule...South St. Paul, Holy Angels, Northfield, Farmington, and a down Duluth Marshall are probably the best they've got. For that matter, they beat a much better White Bear team than this season's a year ago.

Interesting team, with 5 of 6 leading scorers returning, including a D-I recruit in Zmolek. They gave South a good test in sections last season. On the flip side, they did lose to Hayward and Irondale and Northfield last season, and were still 30 spots behind South in PS2 at the end of the year. Their best hope might be riding a good record to a top seed so they could avoid playing both Lakevilles in sections.

Century’s goalie last year put up numbers not realistic for others,( Alex Kanga type stats) if the team showed up in sections to back Killinger up Century would have won 1AA last year.......

Losing to Northfield would not be a bad loss, Northfield has a good program.

It is realistic Century puts up the most wins of any AA team next this season, all be it against a largely class A schedule.

The next two years are probably Rochester’s last chance to be competitive at the AA level, I hope they pull it off.
