This week, I am in studio ("studio" here meaning a hotel room in Stillwater) and Ryder Donovan joins us to chat for a bit. (If you want to skip the old guys and get straight to the fun part, go to minute 38 or so...it's a great interview.)

Karl, if you were at the Jefferson game and Andover game, curious how you ended up in Stillwater?
( admittedly you are two generations more up to date on geography than West Metro! things do change, Im told)

Jefferson-Cloquet game was Friday night. East-Andover Saturday afternoon. Podcast in Stillwater on Saturday night.
Should I get myself a tracking bracelet so my forum friends can keep tabs on me?

No bracelet needed. The mystery of it all adds to the drama! Maybe Ill catch up on the podcast tonight. Did Ryder spill the beans on his college decision? (NOT big ten I hope!)

A tracking bracelet would be nice...especially on nights Duluth East isn't playing. Those nights, Twitter is perfectly acceptable.
We did not push Ryder on his college decision. I have found hockey is unlike basketball and football where kids spray out their college offers on social media like a crop dusting plane.
Way more private. i get most of my insights on college decisions from junior scouts, D1 coaches and parents.
As a staff, we specifically chose not to bring that up in the interview.
One take I heard this weekend was East players usually don't end up at UMD (history). Mostly because the staff prefers Hermantown kids over East kids. There are other outliers that play into that as well.
That said, I'm hearing UMD and WI are two biggest suitors right now. MN offered him under the old staff prior to committing to UND.

YHH, are you going to start an on line YHH poll to:
-Vote who wants Rydo to stay in NCHC?
-Vote who wants LuLamas to come back from the dark side?

Why does it matter what conference he ends up in? If he doesn't land with my favorite team I'd rather he end up out of their conference tbh.
