North Suburban Conference
Who do you think will take the title and who are the best players in this conference?

North Suburban
I think it'll be between Totino-Grace and Benilde. The top forwards are Tyler Sura, Andy Sackrison, and Tony Mcdonald. This conference has pretty good defense with Spencer Campion, Brandon Graffunder, Tyler Pedersen and Mitch Carlson. Should be a fun conference.

Is Irondale still in this conference? Will they have anything this year? They have been horrendous the past couple of years? Why is that, they are a pretty big school aren't they?

Re: north suburban
Yes, Irondale is still there. Finished second in the conference last year behind Totino Grace. Quite a few players left for Totino a few years back, that hurt. It's a fairly small AA school.

Re: north suburban
You forgot to mention BSM's Chris Student as a top defensemen.

Cooper
They will be improved this year with 15 lettermen returning.
Senior Jake Erickson and Michael Tonsager are two good forwards who are 3rd year varsity players. Goalie Tyler Venne started over 20 games last year as a 10th grader.

I agree that BSM is the best team in the league but I think St. Louis Park has more returning than Totino and they might finish 2nd. I'm hoping Cooper can finish in the middle of the pack. They are such a small association the move to the new conference will hopefully make them more competitive than in the Classic Lake.

I do like Sackrison and hulking defensemen Tyler Pederson of St. Louis Park. They have a lot of seniors coming back but only won 5 games last year. I did see their section quarterfinal 3-2 loss to Totino and thought they competed very well as an undermanned team. Tim Donahue and Paul Olson are good coaches and I know they have Joe Bianchi as an assistant to work with the offense.
