Short handed Goals

Post by ThatMNHockeyGuy62 »

Last year Minnetonka was incredibly dangerous on the PK scoring 9 shorties during regular season and several more in the playoffs if I remember correctly.

Just saw on hockey hub Chaska scored 2 more today for a total of 12. In fact, when they take a penalty they have a 21.8% chance of scoring (12/55). Not sure if there is an easy way to check but this has to be among leaders in the state. Not sure how relavent it is toward overall success, but could be an interesting thing to look back at given the semi-regular analysis of PP% and PK%. Why not SHG%?

Ouch! The two in one game only caught my eye because I knew they had a lot already. DM has 8 on the year which also must be up there, and despite their close game with Tonka they don’t exactly show a great relationship between SHG scored and success. Although with 84 penalties they’re at an 9.5% for SHG and their PK is only 76%.
