Final: 4-0 Buffalo over STMA
Sets up an interesting pair of semis, with two teams that cruised to shutouts (Moorhead vs Buffalo) and two that had to put in some serious work to advance (Roseau vs Brainerd).

Re: PLAY-OFFS TUESDAY 2-19-19
Sell out crowd at Buffalo for STMA rematch . One of best student turnouts on each end of rink at any venue all year that I’ve seen . And I think every Buffalo mite and Squirt was in first row pounding on glass the whole game
Both teams have high end elite first line players
Braccinis great snipes for goals tonight ,and Bison elite league goalie Nathan Mueller turned back all Luc Laylin shots as well as all others
Wondering even with its tremendous run and momentum if Bison has depth to beat MH at home , or whether will be repeat of early season matchup loss , but if Mueller stays hot and Braccini snipes hit twine anything can happen?
Coach Motzko saw nice performance by Lucia recruit Jake B tonite

Thanks for the recap, WM. I was only able able to follow along through Twitter and a few texts from a friend in attendance. Buffalo has that electric first line (that accounted for all their goals last night), and Mueller has been great over the past few months.WestMetro wrote: ↑Tue Feb 19, 2019 11:02 pm Sell out crowd at Buffalo for STMA rematch . A few of the Roseau posters had a great take not long ago about nearly every 8AA team except Moorhead having a strong top line but not much depth. Buffalo seems to be the extreme example of that, but no one has been able to contain their first line lately. I hope they can at least push the Spuds to make things interesting.

Well done keeping up with things Stang, especially for Mile High City fan!
Did you watch the Breck girls stream on State of Hockey this morning? I didnt see how that turned out. Be sure to watch or catch hilites of the Warroad girls game tonite at 6 pm CST on State of Hockey, junior power forward Hannah Cornelison is unbelievable.

Thanks WM, I try my best! I wish that more of the section playoff games were streamed, but I understand the conflict with gate revenue.WestMetro wrote: ↑Wed Feb 20, 2019 1:19 pm Well done keeping up with things Stang, especially for Mile High City fan!

Unfortunately I didn’t have a chance to catch the Breck girls, but read the recap a bit ago. They squeaked out a 2-0 win over Fergus, scoring once about two minutes into the game and not again until very late in the third. Congrats to the Mustangs for moving on, but also props to FF for keeping it tight. I will definitely take your advice and tune in for Warroad later.
