That sucks for CEC chances!
Oh well East can match up better with Randover anyway.

I sure hope so but it'll be a tall order. After the way Randover ran over the Elks today...

North 4
Owatonna 1
Final
A pretty good game. With the score 3-1 and around 4 minutes left Owatonna had a 5 on 3 with the second penalty being a 5 minute major, they had a couple of real good chances but came up short.
In the end it will be another North vs. South final. However, Hastings is young and this is their first real taste of playoff hockey. I suspect they will be back next year more prepared. Owatonna showed a lot of improvement from last year to this year in their competitiveness against Norrh and are they are fairly young as well. Century is also returning nearly their whole team. North and South are both pretty senior laden meaning next year should be even better in 1AA.
a North vs. Owatonna football game would have been something to see

Orono scores on PP to go up 3-1 on Breck (boo!) with about 11 minutes left in second period.
Update:
End of the 2nd
Orono 5, Breck 1
SOG: Orono 19, Breck 15
Well, that got out of hand in a hurry.
Final:
Orono 6, Breck 1
SOG: Orono 29, Breck 25

Spuds 1-0 end of the first. Shots 12-3
Buffalo playing chippy. Refs need to gain control over this one. Spuds had several scoring opportunities.

Alexandria absolutely laying the smack down on Sartell. 5-0 Alexandria after two.
Looking like a rematch of last season’s 6A final with Cathedral, who defeated River Lakes 6-0 earlier.

Tonka and Holy Family tied 1-1 with 11:52 to go in the third in another playoff thriller between these two teams. HF has never lost to Tonka in regulation. Pete Waggoner and Bart Archer on the call:

2:28 to go, still tied 1-1. Luedtke out after huge (legal) hit on him.
Tied 1-1, going into OT.
HF wins 2-1 in OT.
