Makes sense. Any reasoning for doing it, other than the obvious. No team other than the Lakevilles and Farmington have played in the section championship since 2009.

1A was pushed back due to weather. The alternative was playing 1A at 5:30 and 1AA to follow. Assuming no overtime and with awards and all I would bet 1AA wouldn’t start until almost 9. By the time that game finished and handed out awards it would be after 11. Then you have kids driving on roads that are still in poor condition late at night on a school night.
The common sense is less playing the game in Burnsville because it is two Lakeville schools and more playing it earlier in the evening.
I think safety is the driving force in moving the game.
