With so few high school players moving on to the next levels (Jr, D1, Pros), nearly everyone will have to stop playing competitively some time, eh? It might be best to cut your losses now rather than later.

If someone isn't the superstar who would never get cut from any high school squad, then what are their chances at the next levels anyway?

An honest evaluation of oneself is pretty difficult, but essential in life.

I guess why stop now, if the kid still loves the game, and there are many out there who believe in him, including himself?

We all know... "It's a race to men's league... some just get there sooner than others..."

And I promise you, he hopes it is later, rather than sooner...but I hear ya!

At what point do we start guessing which “little” SW suburb he’s talking about here, with over the top expensive STP and upset parents/kids who are cut. Might there already be a thread on this very subject?

Ken Pauly is an ass. Very few with argue with that.

My daughters basketball team cut every senior last year and went 0-26, is on a 45 game losing streak but cutting every upper classemen will pay dividends down the road somehow they tell us. We cut every senior again We are. 0-2 this year and have been put in running time twice.

I do not think this is an isolated incident.

Some years back, Ken Pauly kicked a budding superstar off his team because he visited a WHL team and missed a team activity! Baer I believe the kid’s name was. Seems like a principled guy to me. And I’m pretty sure original post is not about BSM.

No one is suggesting that your kid quit right now. If he still enjoys ice hockey, I hope he can find some place to play it competitively. Let's see how far that belief in himself takes him.

Putrid, rotten smell coming out of Eden Prairie! Simply reeks badly of recruiting at its best!!!! Absolute coup with parents and the coach. Heard from a multiple sources the Eden Prairie coach was after an Owatonna kid who played with Blake at Shattuck and a goalie. How long are the people in Eden Prairie going stand for this unethical behavior.

I have Part 2 ready, and would really love to share it with y'all...but after conferring with my son, who took the high road through it all, I will not be posting it.

I have to explain to those of you who believe I am just a bitter dad, who thinks his kid is the best thing since sliced bread...I AM bitter, and strongly believe my kid should have made the cut, but I normally take the high road, and will do so again from this point forward.

I just wanted to point out how classless and unethical this coach is, and those in our community already know it, so I guess there's no point in embarrassing my family any further (as the people in our hockey community already know who MMnHD is).

I am EXTREMELY PROUD of how my son is taking this, it just goes to show what the coach and team is missing out on, and the coach could learn a thing or two from him!

Just send part 2 it’s not an affront to this community. Most of us already know. My personal opinion is I’m sorry. Probably more then you got from those coaches! Probably more than your son got....outside of the “envelope”

I did eat dinner there a couple of weeks ago, some Indian restaurant off Flying Cloud Road, so I am just a neutral observer in all this and do not know the personalities involved.
