Quite an oversight! They looked very good in St. Louis Park.

Be kind. Rewind.

The score was very different and how the game was played, although MG's forecheck was stifling at times and they controlled a good part of the game, Blaine had better scoring chances and took advantage of those shots. MG gave up the long stretch passes and Blaine took advantage of that with a few break aways. MG gots to figure something out if there to stay in the top 10.hockey59 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 8:46 pm Blaine 4 MG 1 FINAL. MG really missed Kyle K. tonight, especially his ability to score clutch goalsShots 30 to 20 favoring MG, but they simply couldn’t finish their chances. An important bounce back win for the Bengals following a tepid showing in their Holiday tourney.

Biggest program win since they took down Blaine a couple years ago. Roster isn't deep enough to challenge consistently, but with Jerry Hayes at the helm and with just enough talent, they can manage to pull off an upset here and there.O-townClown wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 10:46 pmIrondale beating White Bear Lake 4-1 is a total shocker. Great job, guys. Something to remember forever.
Congrats Knights!

Any truth that Sager sat a few boys for various reasons? Still nice win.

That whole thing was a bizzarre scene from what I saw on the EGF Twitter feed. I have no idea how to treat it for my rankings this week! I guess the game just sits in limbo for now.TTpuckster wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 9:35 pm The EGF vrs GFC game will not be completed tonight due to a power outage in EGF. If the teams cannot agree on another night to complete the game, (there is 7 minutes remaining), then it will be recorded as a 1-0 victory for GFC.

Kukkonen injury definitely leaves a big hole to fill for MG and on 59's take on the game summarizes it well.Crusty wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 9:00 amThe score was very different and how the game was played, although MG's forecheck was stifling at times and they controlled a good part of the game, Blaine had better scoring chances and took advantage of those shots. Yea, how do you have a 7 minute game. I have a feeling it will end up 1-0.Stang5280 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 1:43 pmThat whole thing was a bizzarre scene from what I saw on the EGF Twitter feed. What is a Green Wave anyway?

Very true. That would be a lot of effort involved just to finish off 7 minutes. Not that a 1-0 loss to Central is a bad result by any means, but it stinks not being able to resolve the full game and see if EGF could pull off a sweep.TTpuckster wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 3:08 pmYea, how do you have a 7 minute game.
