DI and DIII
recently I was able to go to a few Gopher games, both against Niagra and both at Wisconsin. Now I am by no means compairing top noch DI hockey to top noch DIII. But it seems to me that the gap between the 2 is closing; and fairly quickly. Top noch teams such as Minnesota or Wisconsin or any top DI team would easly handle any DIII team, but after watching the Minnesota and Niagra games I thought that alot of the midmajor DI hockey teams are not much better then the top DIII programs. Just my oppinion, what does everyone else think?

Re: DI and DIII
I think that is somewhat correct. I do think that mid-major DI teams would beat a top notch DIII team by a couple goals at least. But, a team like RIT, American Int'l, Wayne State, etc. would have a tough time with a DIII top club.
