D2 does exist

When I was in Indianapolis, I visited the NCAA Hall of Fame. In the lobby was a wall that explained each division, and D2 was indeed there. Now, mind you, I did not go into the museum itself because they told me they didnt have any hockey displays, so I didnt see any point.

D-2

There used to be d-2 hockey, not any more that is why you saw it at the hall of fame. for instance, Bemidji State was used to be D-2.

Club Hockey teams are considered D2 I believe. These teams include NDSU, UMD, SDSU, and so on...

They probably aren't as good as D3, but they are still considered D2.
"2A You are a true Cidiot" - IronRanger4ever

According to www.ncaa.com there is no D-2 hockey. The latest "proof" of D-2 hockey I have been able to find is 1998. Alabama-Huntsville was #1 in the poll... Schools can consider themselves D-2, this recognition is used for the other sports. SCSU is a D-2 school that plays hockey D-1.

Club hockey teams are not D2. They are ACHA and USA Hockey rules apply...
