#3 vs #4
Who wins?
And, yes, we know, they both are capable and perhaps should be AA but let's keep that stuff to another thread.

I'd love to see Mahtomedi win this game, but I just don't see it happening.
Mahtomedi did beat both Hill & STA in the regular season [although they lost to both of them as well - they're in the Tradition Rich Metro East and play those teams twice each year]. They were, unfortunately, also apparently run out the building when they played Hermantown earlier this year, losing 2-9. The section was theirs to lose, they had to come back to beat Delano and carried that late 3rd period play over to the game against Warroad. So they may be feeling it. But I think you're going to need more than a feeling to beat Hermantown.
Hermantown looks unstoppable and motivated right now. That said I voted for the Zephyrs in the poll
The City of Hill Murray is beautiful this time of year

Hermantown looked sharp, so did Mahtomedi. This game could go lopsided either way or be a stale mate. As good as both defenses have played, I'm going to say it's a close one. Go Zephyrs

In the battle for the "Play AA at Youth, Yet Play A in HS Cup", I'll go with Hermantown 5-2.
Mahtomedi's win yesterday was impressive, but the Hawks top talent will overwhelm them.

There going to need more than a feeling
Otherwise I see my Hermantown walkin’ away
No way is this runnin’ with the devil

Let's think of that 9-2 game on December 21st like the Soviets routing Team USA at MSG in 1980.
9 times out of 10 Hermantown might beat Mahtomedi but not TONIGHT (today at noon), boys. Their time is OVER. It's DONE.
Go Zephyrs.

I assume the trick in this one is for Mahtomedi to not get down early. Keep it a one goal game and win late.
Of course I say that and they'll win 6-1 and make us all look stupid. Anyway...

1-0 Mahtomedi on a redirect.
C'mon, where's the support!

Biondi is kind of a punk.
He's clearly a douche. If he gets to the show he better hope he can still dominate or his big head will shrink quickly.

Back to the game...very good 1st period by Mahtomedi and a 1-0 lead. Shaping up to be a very good game. I think Hermantown had a bit of a chip on their shoulder vs SCC which provided added motivation, that’s not the case today. Hermantown needs to find their energy in the next period and play their game, plus stay out of the box. Indio Dowd with a beautiful tip-in on the first goal...unfortunately for the WRONG team

Did you guys catch Professor Parish, seeing one of the players fall, saying to Erickson "those blades are really thin." Erickson said something back like "thanks for letting us in on that gem, Mark".
Good game so far.
