North Dakota next season...
I thought that UND had a good team last season with a great deal to look forward too this season. With all the young talent they did seem to struggle at times but had another nice season but again fell short. I am sure their goal was no less than the championship game. Only two seniors on this past season's team. A ton of young talent and I think they will only improve. With Parise back in nets (He did not have his best game against BC) and Oshie and Toews anchoring that team they have to be the top pick in the WCHA next season as well as a favorite for the NCAA Championship. I hope they do not experience any early departures... They could be one heck of a team next year and maybe for the next couple of years!

If everyone stays, they will be a favorite to win it all. That is a big 'if' though. Zajac and Stafford are going to be given some enticing offers, Spirko could leave, Toews is a high draft pick, and Oshie was already drafted in the first round. That is a lot of potential early departures.

Re: North Dakota next season...
rumor has it a lot of them COULD be gone next year. I've heard Barry Melrose say that Toews is likely to be the number one pick this year and could go right away. Ive heard the Spirko could go back to europe, Oshie might be gone, Zajac might be gone.
So that isnt leaving to much GREAT talent. Im not sure what Smaby or Parise are gonna do. Most likely be back next year? But if thats true with all the departures UND has no scoring. And they need to improve on defense, i wont say names or anything finley(cough, cough).
But their expirence this year go that far in the tourny will help with all the younger guys that will be back next year.

I think they will have a good team again next year. They are always in the running down the stretch. They will lose some players, Stafford and Toews for sure, but they won't lose them all. I think they have good talent on D, but they just were inconsistent. There weren't too many defensive mistakes last night. You have to get bailed out by your goalie once in a while and it just wasn't happening. Finley didn't look very impressive this year, but I don't know how much blame you can put on him.

im not blaming him, im just sayin i dont think he has enough talent to be on this team. He doesnt use his body very well.
