Aw Stange, just make yourself a cup of woodpecker tea & think of the game that irritated you the most this year. That'll keep up past at least 9:30! 😆
That Delano-Jefferson game this afternoon almost put me into a coma. But the Breck game and some coffee have me back to life. I might even see 10 pm here in mountain time!

P.S. Thanks to whomever made the decision to move Sartell-LF up one hour.

Final: Little Falls 3, Sartell 1
Shots 56-19

Absolute destruction by the Flyers. That game easily could have been 6-1 or worse. Sartell goalie was great.

EP 4 Edina 1

Edina is now 5-6. When did they last have a losing record in the middle of the season?

In 2005-06 they were 9-10 at the end of January after losing four straight (to Minnetonka, Wayzata, Cloquet and Duluth East)

I think just last year. I think they're actually better this year...

They were 6-7-1 on 1/4 after getting shutout for the second straight time (sound familiar?) by Hill-Murray.

It is really hard to fathom. They do have a few kids xfer to private schools, but they have 12 Bantam teams annually, and they still have 100 kids playing Jr Gold.

Minnetonka beats Owatonna 5-0, I don’t think Owatonna had much more than 10 shots. I still think this helps Owatonna come sections, seeing better teams.

Mayo beats Dodge County 4-3, Mayo isn’t bad but likely a 6 seed in 1AA. West probably benefits from this result the most in 1A.

1AA while not great will have a whole host of teams over .500 come sections. South, Hastings, North, Owatonna, Northfield, Mayo, and possibly Century will all have winning records come the post season.

FWIW I attended my first game of the season. Congratulations to Olmsted County, home of the Mayo Clinic, I have never seen more of a cluster in terms of herding people into a small areas so you don’t have to clean. They actually pay people to herd fans into smaller and smaller areas.

Today’s game was canceled because Shakopee had a COVID situation amongst their team, so not sure why South’s game next Saturday is nixed even though their Thursday game vs North is still on.

That’s an interesting autocorrect.

Their schedule is of course a grind, only a couple of games on the schedule where they can expect to have much breathing room. For the past 2 years now they have averaged less than 3 goals per game and they do have a couple of legitimate scorers up front and plenty of depth, so it is hard to fathom how they have this much difficulty scoring. As sound as HM and Tonka are, it's also crazy that they played 200+ minutes of hockey against those two teams and didn't score a single goal.
