They name captains just a few weeks before the season starts. If I had to guess I would say Goligoski with the C, and Vannelli and Gordon with the A's.

i agree with Goligoski and gordon, but vannelli? he isnt one of the best players on the ice. he makes alot of little mistakes that cost the team. what about mike howe or evan kauffman?

It's hard to say since none of us are in the locker room, I'll still stand by my guess of Goligoski, Gordon, and Vannelli. Vannelli will be one of 3 seniors, and Hirsch isn't even a certainty. He doesn't dominate but usually a senior gets an honor. I could be wrong, but as of early May those are my predictions.

my point was that just because ur not the best player on the ice doesnt mean you cant be a captain still...i think the gordon kessel wheeler line is going to be pretty GOOD this year...gordon and kessel were playing good at the end of the year hopefully wheeler can get in on the action

Vannelli with the C

It was made official today, Mike Vannelli will wear the 'C' for the Gophs next year. Assistant captains won't be named until closer to the season.
