High profile D-1 kid going to the NA? Must be a goalie.

Cool. I can add more detail. My source said that he might be in Minnesota. Or not.Slap Shot wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 9:11 amI heard the same but my sources will neither confirm nor deny.Green and White Fan wrote: ↑Tue Aug 24, 2021 10:45 am I heard this one kid, maybe a D1 prospect, might leave early or he might not. Looks like Gentry’s big Dman Conner Brown may be an early depart . Although nothing is certain until early Nov

I’m guessing Zam will return to Htown for 1 more season to play with his brother?

No longer listed on HSEL roster.InThePipes wrote: ↑Sun Aug 15, 2021 9:14 amStill listed on HSEL website roster, they are usually fairly quick about updating those if someone is opting out, but maybe he hasn't informed them yet? He could be trying to avoid a battle/splitting time with Hochsprung at LVS?

I've also heard thru the grapevine that the Steel's starting tender from last year will be having surgery and that an '04 MN goalie is on his way there as we speakBP wrote: ↑Wed Sep 01, 2021 8:34 amBrown is with Chicago all year, Zam is doing before and after.WestMetro wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 5:29 pm Looks like Gentry’s big Dman Conner Brown may be an early depart . Re: Early Departures 2021-22
I am genuinely surprised that with schools all now in session that there hasn't been much transfer movement....or is it that people on this board just aren't sharing information?

Re: Early Departures 2021-22
I've seen plenty of movement in past years just after final varsity cuts. So we have some time yet...

I am not aware of a current MN high school goalie that is committed to a D1 program. Please refresh my memory.GopherHockey wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 6:32 am High profile D-1 kid going to the NA? Must be a goalie.
Re: Early Departures 2021-22
Jimmy Clark is off to Sioux City and will likely make final roster .
Kids will probably protect all options as possible right up thru high school season start date . Lots of variables again

Hard to say how long the one on the way stays there? The kid getting the surgery is going to be out for a quite a while if my info is correct...that's a huge bummer for him.InThePipes wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 7:06 amTo stay or to fill the void as a practice target for a week or two?

Re: Early Departures 2021-22
No, the 04 MN kid is heading to Chicago as a replacement on the roster (My uninformed guess is Nick Erickson from HM). Although the Steel’s top goalie is Jack Stark, who is originally from Chaska but left after his sophomore year. So he may be the one having surgery ( hopefully not, but likely).InThePipes wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 6:04 pmMN kid is the one having the surgery?thefatcat wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 5:51 pmHard to say how long the one on the way stays there? Thanks Westy. We added a section today on five HS eligibles and their status this winter: Falloon, Fechko, Plante, Sarsland and Schumacher.

Re: Early Departures 2021-22
Curious if any of these players will return to HS:
* Jimmy Clark
* Eric Pohlkamp
* Carter Krenke
* Jackson Blake
Have heard Schumacher, O'Connell & Bump are not going to play MSHSL.
It's always interesting for me to follow what happens to players that leave after 9th or 10th grade for a different path. Here's an update on a few. Please provide others if you've got 'em.
* Landon Peterson was at Gilmour Academy last season and is now with the Notre Dame Hounds in the SJHL
* Liam Sebek remained in Columbus and moves to 18U from 16U
* Logan Wright has left Omaha after two years on their 16U and now plays 18U for Windy City (f/k/a Young Americans?)

Re: Early Departures 2021-22
The guesses i’ve heard a while back are
Clark and Pohlkamp. Toss up
Krenke - Return
Blake - Stays in USHL.( But if he does return, would wait til January to create an eligibility drama
)
BP would likely have updated info

Blake playing for EP seems like a massive longshot
