Games of the Day are those that have particular interest to me in terms of 'ranking'.
Those underlined are even of a higher interest.

Re: Games Tuesday Nov. 30
I'm looking forward to this one. Chanhassen will be a factor in 2023 & 2024. They got a lot of the C/C Bantam players and will have incredible depth. Young for now. This is going to be a big rivalry going forward. Announcing it for MNHockey.tv.
Be kind. Rewind.
Re: Games Tuesday Nov. 30
Looking at last years CC BAA roster and seeing where they're at now, 7 are at Chan (Buesgens, Christ, Jensen x2, Patka, Borene, and Willis), 3 are at Chaska (Sheetz, Bruender, Kleber), 1 is still playing BAA (Ty Smith), and 6 are somewhere else (Heil and Oster SF Power U16, Bauer GB Jr Gamblers, Sawchyn SSM U14, Schultz MTKA HS, and Charhenko ???)O-townClown wrote: ↑Mon Nov 29, 2021 9:35 pmI'm looking forward to this one. Re: Games Tuesday Nov. 30
By the way, Panzer scored the first 4 goals.
But, as stated earlier, EGF is weak on defense and goaltending this year.
What is a Green Wave anyway?

Re: Games Tuesday Nov. 30
Grand Rapids 4, Duluth East 3, final. Shots were very lopsided, 54-18 Rapids. The first period, with East benefitting from a couple of PPs, was pretty even; I'm not sure they got the puck out of their own end once in the 2nd. The third started out as more of the same before the Hounds found some life.
Rapids is solid, deep across the board, but lacks that finishing touch that could really bury teams. If they find that they'll be a top 10 type threat. For now, though, I'm not sure they're there.
East is a work in progress, as one would expect after a tumultuous offseason. Ziemski had 50 saves in net and the Cole Christian/Thomas Gunderson combo up front could grow into something offensively. Depth up front might be the most glaring concern, and they're a pretty young group. Lots to work through for Pitoscia and company, and they deserve some patience as they figure it all out. The program could really benefit from some stability and I'm getting more optimistic that the reset could do some good. Will be interesting to see if they can progress into being a genuine threat.
Above all, though, it was great to be back in a packed hockey arena with a full student section and a band and a lot of people just having a good time. It's been far too long!

Re: Games Tuesday Nov. 30
BSM 5
Hill Murray 3
Hill comes back from a 2-0 first period and 3-1 deficit to tie things up in the third. Benilde scores twice in the final minute for the win. The second goal late was not an empty netter.
I thought Benilde was the better team most of the net. The top line of Marshall, Stewart, and McMorrow was buzzing most of the night and the Sophomore Stewart was the best player on the ice last night.
Hill's top D pair of Gruba and Begley are very good. The top line with Godbout was good. Past that nobody really stood out last night. I'm sure Lechner will get them whipped into shape.
Had to scan a QR code and fill out a form to buy a ticket on my phone. I remember the good old days where you laid down your $6, got a ticket and a paper roster. I was able to get a hot dog without scanning something.
