Thanks guys. So obviously Mahtomedi is up there comparatively. And your points about school sizes are salient regardless. I swear though, that I thought Tartan was in A....I have to get my life togetherClassAGuy wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 3:09 pmTwo Rivers is 1209 Formerly Henry Sibley been in 4AA I forget they are Class A nowelliott70 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 3:03 pmThis is what I foundBlueLineSpecial wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 2:41 pm 4A- Mahtomedi (By far the biggest in Section)
Maybe I'm having a massive brain fart...but there's no way Mahtomedi is by far the biggest school in section 4A. I'm pretty sure they're not even in the top 3 or 4 largest schools in the section. My guess is that St Paul Johnson, Simley, Two Rivers, SSP and Tartan are all at or above Mahtomedi for student size. Maybe I'm getting my teams in the section messed up though....
Chisago 1033
Two Rivers ???
Mahtomedi 1129
Simley 984
So St Paul 747
St paul Acad 426
Highland 1139
Johnson 876

WCCO- Twin Cities high school is officially changing its name.MNHockeyFan wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 3:38 pmIsn't Two Rivers a co-op that encompasses one or more other schools in addition to Henry Sibley?
Henry Sibley High School in Mendota Heights will soon be called Two Rivers High School, inspired in part by the school’s proximity to the confluence of the Mississippi and Minnesota rivers. The school board voted on the name change Monday night.
The school’s original name was a tribute to Minnesota’s first governor, whom community members say shouldn’t be honored due to his treatment of the Dakota people in the 19th century, especially during his involvement in the U.S. Dakota War of 1862.
Re: A Rankings for 1/23/22
Two Rivers is just the replacement name for what was previously known as Henry Sibley. Their hockey team isn't co-oped with any other district.MNHockeyFan wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 3:38 pmIsn't Two Rivers a co-op that encompasses one or more other schools in addition to Henry Sibley?

Thanks to Corn Cobb and ClassAGuy for the information. One other tidbit is prior to being known as "Henry Sibley" it was merely "Sibley" back when the building was located in West St. Paul (now Mendota Heights). At some point along the way the meaning of their "Warriors" nickname changed from a Native American "Indian Head" mascot to a Greek Warrior symbol.
