Great job Elks!!! One northern team down one to go!!! It would be the best state tournament ever if no northern teams make it!!! Man the whining from 218 would be legendary!!!

State tournament might just be the biggest D-BAG gathering of all time. with East side Pioneer Princess leading the charge

The state tournament will be okay no matter who is in it but you have to admit it doesn’t have the interest it used to the first downfall was when private schools or the best teams money can buy where allowed to participate and with the 2class system we now have 11 more games in the tournament than we used to but attendance is only about 20 percent more. The TV coverage used to be top notch with interest stories from all participants and they would bring in celebrities.The newspapers where all tourney stories for a week and now you have to turn to page 5 to find a score.I know we will never go back but the sweetness of those tourneys was that no matter what team was in the tournament it was kids that went to school together and played together all the way up now it is either a private school or a public school with kids that moved in to play hockey.If there are any public schools in the tournament that don’t have players that moved in that is who I will be cheering for.
