Both 7AA semifinals had an eight goal margin of victory. The last time both semis in the same section were won by at least eight goals? Answer: Never. Reliable records only going back to the mid-50's, mind you.

I miss the days when the 7AA semis were the place to be. East, Rapids, Cloquet, Elk River. Glory days.

What's Blaine's average margin of loss in Sections since the 15-1 game (I think that was the score)? It must be ugly.

Section 1 had one running time game, 2 games that went into overtime, and a 4-3 game. Maybe Rochester has the best Playoff Saturday?

I’d add section 2 to this conversation, even though they were in different venues. You had a 4-2 game w an EN (PL vs EP) two OT games (Chaska vs Tonka and Delano vs Orono) and then a 5-1 game that was 3-1 unles 2 ENG were scored in the final 2 minutes.

Eh, there's more to great hockey than close scores. It also has a lot to do with the skills on display, something not measured by statistics. If you could 100% guarantee me that a play in game will go to 3 overtimes, I still would not go.
