Are you referring to Poul Anderson & Baumgartner leaving BSM?
If true, I think one of those players will be onto his 4th program in 6 years.
can confirm both of these departures are accurate
---------
anyone know where they are landing?
------------
Moving this over from the early departure thread , Bumgarner has already landed with a highly ranked public school , home team forum rep should confirm when timing is right

Come on, Westy. You're as plugged in as anyone. If you're gonna go that far, you should just say it.
Re: 2023-24 Season Transfers
Baumgarner is going to Rogers.

With school almost out , the rumors about transfers should be picking up !
- any more private to public's ?
- public to private?
- 763 to 952, , or 651 to 218?
- AAAs back to high school? Hot take ?
- people looking to buy a new home in another district ?
Any updates from BP? MinnScout ? SECScotty? Others ?

Do our friends at Tonka have anything to report ?

Have our friends at Rogers got anything more to report ?
Re: 2023-24 Season Transfers
First blockbuster rumor on the East Side . Involves the Cadets. Summer practice will be starting soon , what new face will we be seeing at the icebox ?
Re: 2023-24 Season Transfers
Holy Family Hunter Friedrich will be attending Northstar Christian next fall.
Re: 2023-24 Season Transfers
Not really a transfer situation but the Rochester school board approved a co-op between Century and John Marshall for at least the next two years. Century will be the host program, so in practicality, the John Marshall kids will now be at Century.
Re: 2023-24 Season Transfers
Should be getting info soon from new faces at summer team practices !
Re: 2023-24 Season Transfers
It appears that an EP winger is headed to Chanhassen. Probably the same comment made in March about a neighbors nephew...

Re: 2023-24 Season Transfers
Although it's become too common these days, it's always a head scratcher when a senior jumps ship to another school. Especially considering his ties to the school, etc. What is not surprising is there are probably 1-2 more that won't be back or strongly considered leaving as well. Confirms what I've heard in that the forwards really weren't warming up to who was/is running that group.
Re: 2023-24 Season Transfers
Goals were down significantly last year, and they moved assistants around to hopefully modify the situation. IMO what hurt EP last year was no seniors upfront, and it did not appear that they had an alpha to lead the team.
WIth the overall lack of kids from the class of 2023 (seniors last year) in the system for many years, there were probably a number of last year's juniors (class of 2024) who should have played JV, but were once again placed on the higher team. In the case of the player moving to Chan, he probably should have been a 3rd liner, but was moved up to the 1st line.
It will be interesting to see if this years squad will be an addition by subtraction. It will also be interesting to see what line he ends up on.

Re: 2023-24 Season Transfers
I don’t necessarily disagree, but that group of kids was very strong and won State at the PWAA level. Of course much changes after that heading into HS, but it’s not like Twig was playing guys that were out of their league skill wise. IMO, the issue appeared to be more system related, not just up front but all across the board. I’m not in the locker room, but I heard from several people that the forwards in particular were not on board or clicking with CC. I’m curious to see what other changes pop up in EP…Cookster wrote: ↑Wed Jun 14, 2023 2:54 pm Goals were down significantly last year, and they moved assistants around to hopefully modify the situation. That's a sizable loss for EP - Earl was second in points for EP last season. I thought his game really came around in the second half of the season.

I didn't follow the EP JV season that closely, but watched a couple of their games before the varsity squads took the ice, and they lost pretty badly in the games I saw against Lake Conference foes Edina and Minnetonka. Didn't see anyone playing on EP JV that screamed "Play him on varsity!"Cookster wrote: ↑Wed Jun 14, 2023 2:54 pm Goals were down significantly last year, and they moved assistants around to hopefully modify the situation. I'm still not convinced Twigs is the right guy at EP, but time will tell. He inherited a young roster and it took most of the season for the kids to adjust/gel to his system. Went from a .500 regular season to being one goal away from a section championship birth. I liked what I saw at the end and hopefully that carries over into this upcoming season. Would like to see Teddy take another step forward.
