Grand Rapids came back from a 3-0 deficit with 5 3rd. period goals to beat Duluth East 5-3.

Hibbing was beating Greenway 7-0 in period 2. Gonna be a long tough year and a few to come for my boys.

Sheesh - when's the last time the Pioneers got put in running time :!: :?:

As others have posted on here in other topics, it sure feels like there is a runaway 1-2 (maybe 3) teams at the top, and everyone else not all that close.

I see Stillwater dumped the Bears 5-0, which gives them a season split. The Ponies are starting to feel dangerous, and you could argue that 4AA is now a 3 team toss-up between Hill, WBL & Stillwater. The #1 seed, then, becomes important. That said, I'm not sure how good most section winners are going to feel heading to State. Tonka doesn't play WBL, but beat Hill & Stillwater by a combined 13-0 score this year. Ouchies.

Thank you buddy!

Looking back on that year, the Pioneeers actually got put in running time twice - by both STA & Edina. That was a year Hill finished the regular season below .500 and then upset Da Bears in the section final.

Sort of feels like a trip to State might be peak Pioneers this year. And that would be okay. Always fun to see the black and green at the X

Goal #6 was at the 12:29 mark of period 2 so running time was quite long and neither team scored.
