I haven't been paying attention, but why did Tonka drop off so far? I'm curious to see how good Stillwater is. They may be a sleeper team this year for a deep run.

Shako at #1 seems premature when Edina is the defending champ. Holy Angels seems a tad high but I am excited to see what that group can do. Haven't paid attention to transfers, who did EP have come in to get them up to #11? Where is Maple Grove?

It will be fun to watch the new blood (Shako / Rogers) battle the blue bloods this year.

Rogers went to Shakopee last year and it was a barn burner. The game ended in a tie and the Shakopee goaltender faced 61 shots.

MG has undoubtedly lost a lot of talent to NTDP, but I still think they are in a top 16 mix?

EP did have a kid come in, but I believe he has transferred to Shakopee since. Must have not liked the way captain's practice was going.

I don’t feel as informed on the player movement market as usual this year. With that said, here’s my stab at a top 10.

1. Edina
2. Rogers
3. Shakopee
4. Benilde
5. Hill-Murray
6. St. Thomas
7. Moorhead
8. Maple Grove
9. Minnetonka
10. Wayzata

Probably need CDH - 4 D1 commits and 7 guys in the EL.

If you’re talking about the TG kid, I actually think the want and expectation was to come home to EP, but the address issue threw things off. This was not a situation where it was a suspect move IMO because this kid is from EP and everyone knows it, but heard the rules were sadly not in his favor as opposed to the usual transfer stuff..

Dunno if we’re talking about the same kid though.

If you’re both talking about Ben Box, then yes that’s the situation at hand.

I was talking about Box & to be perfectly honest, I didn't know anything. Was just making a crack about switching schools. Just knew that he was heading to EP & eventually was not.

No worries. Just wanted to point out that his situation and ending up in Shako (it’s clear they’ll take everyone) was not the plan. His plan was to come back to EP and due to no other reason than some kinks in the rules did he end up in Shako. They’ve had their house in EP continuously throughout both his and his sisters career and only recently was there a change that prevented him from coming back. In this case, you’d wish the rules were in his favor but this is the fallout from trying to prevent what the Tonka’s and now Shako are doing…
