Hockey Day Money Grab
What am I missing? I see the local high school is going to play in Hockey Day this year and I think, we should go.
So Friday to bring a family of four...$221.00 including parking...Wha? Saturday festivities is worse, $341, before you even have a hot chocolate?
Who is making the money? If Valley Fair is charging that much to host, they picked the wrong place.
Stretched out over four days now to maximize the profits...I mean fun.
I don't know previous year pricing, somebody can help me out.

Yeah, the $80 for the Saturday games were a turn off, especially with uncertainty of how cold it's going to be that day. Spend $80, then downing a bunch of hot chocolate to stay warm inside a tent. Good times..

Is there an extra charge for the marshmallows?
What has been the ticket cost for past Hockey day games?

Every event anywhere now is about making money. State high school tourney still reasonable. Hopefully that will stay as it is.
The whole tournament for two tickets is cheaper than lower level seats for a Wild game.

Yet another reason for me to dislike HDMN. As if I needed another.
Is there less financial support available from FSN or Bally or whatever it's called this week?

Thought about going to one of the days, but not now, when it's on TV.
Brings to mind the $20 I ponied up for the regularly scheduled STA-Edina game at Dakotah! Ice Center even though I told them we were seniors.
Now I know why they have the exclamation mark in their name.

If they sell out it is priced correctly. Maybe under priced.
Re: Hockey Day Money Grab
Are the paying all the former Gophers and NCAA players that are playing in a game on Friday?
Re: Hockey Day Money Grab
Prices 7 years ago for St Cloud were $10 for Friday and $30 for Saturday
Amazing how they have skyrocketed since then.
