Very curious to see how Stillwater does against STA. Aside from the first 10 minutes of the Hill game where Stillwater got blitzed, they played really well. I feel like Hill and STA are mirror images of each other in many ways, and consider them on par from a skillset perspective. Stillwater should go into this game confident they can play with STA. If I had to predict a score, I'll say 3-2 OT for STA

I would have to agree with your assessment of the Stillwater/Hill game, that was not the same Stillwater team that lost a white bear earlier in the year. Stillwater looked really good.

Tough loss for Hibbing. They were all over Rock Ridge for most of the game, outshooting them 27-14, lots of chances. But credit to RR for capitalizing on a couple chances and packing it in around their goalie during the flurries. RR goalie was rock solid tonight, pun intended. Hibbing's breakouts and puck movement looked as good as it has all season, but it's time to get to the net and start burying their chances.

Stillwater scored first and that set the tone. I thought STA had their moments, but Stillwater was the team who managed to score. Sure seems like they can beat anybody on the right night, but it will need to be the right night.

Agree with all of this. Stillwater played smart for 3 periods and limited STA power plays and odd man rushes. Boy STA 1st power play unit can move the puck.

BSM and AHA had a similar footprint to EP at Wayzata a few weeks back. One team jumps to a big lead early, the other team fights back to tie it, then goals are traded back and forth and the last team to score wins the game.
