Great thread!
I used to drive up from Rochester for as many great sectional games as possible. The Coliseum was often packed, certainly not ideal but a great atmosphere.
Nothing ever topped the full Met Center for sectional finals for me. That place had the best sightlines for hockey. I know they used to have at least 4 finals in there in one day, maybe 5? and you could stay and watch them all. There was a line to get in for later games as it was full (15, 500) and they needed some people to leave before they let any more in. The most packed year I remember was in the early 90s...Bonin was maybe a freshman for WBL....

Still loving high school hockey myself. When I joined this forum my oldest was a Mite, hence my handle. He's 27 now. Unreal how time flies. I made all but one of my local team's games this year and enjoyed them. Still some kids that I helped coach on this year's team. Next year will be the first year with kids I don't really know, but I still anticipate attending most games. Also retired recently so can actually take in some games outside my hometown. I do miss a lot of the intense chatter on here. Was a lot of fun and full of good info.

Brian Bonin played bantams as a freshman (1988-89 season).Mitch Hawker wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 10:08 pm Great thread!

I still like it here! I love reading Karl and ClassAGuy's rankings and getting news & notes from various sources. Plus, I don't know many other places where people will care when Hill-Murray loses to Two Rivers.
