Didn’t like Moorhead’s game on Thursday, but I’ll chalk it up to a “bad game” and coming through a weaker section. I think Moorhead rebounds with Kraft and Zimmerman.

That Sped D was pretty porous last night. Edina can hang a 3 on them. I expect them tom lose 6 o6 7 to 3, but I don't see a shutout.

I do hope Edina gets a few penalties. That Spud PP is really something to watch.

What a track meet of a first period. 3-2 Edina after 1.

I thought Edina’s goalie interference penalty was a bad call. Shouldn’t be interference if a player was fouled into the goalie. Didn’t matter much to Edina as they scored.

This has been an unremarkable tournament so far. Maybe we'll get a shootout here and liven things up.

Well Edina already equaled their regular season best vs the Spuds lol. Though down low Spuds are pretty great.

Zimmerman's goal was reminiscent of the Stillwater empty netter from that sharp angle. A beauty.

Good to see the Spuds tie it up. We've got a great game going on here!
FYI, Vancouver 1-0 over the Wild 2 min. into 2nd period.
Lou & Lapanta doing play by play.

God please let Moorhead win! LOL. I'm going for divine intervention here. Stillwater vs. Moorhead would be great.

Happy for the Spuds. Brand new champ tomorrow night. I'm pulling for the Spuds, because of their history, but so many best friends from Stillwater. Will be happy either way, but its the Spuds year. Finish it right.

Great game! Congrats Spuds! Not easy to beat any Edina team three times in a season.

Not sure who the player was that drew the penalty at the end there (23??), but that was a great play great hustle to draw that penalty.

One of the best regulation tourney games ever? Proud of the Hornets. Reminds me a bit of their state title game 2 years ago against Tonka. They had to play nearly perfect to win and they were an inch/second or two away.

Styles make fights tomorrow night. Big, bruising Stillwater against the dynamic skill of Moorhead. Should be a fun one.

I'm not sure he even needed to the guy down what with his partner right there. But heat of the moment and all that. That Spud PP is something else. PP or even strength, they like their crisp cross-ice passes in the O zone.

It's a very intriguing matchup for the final. I don't need to see another East Metro team win a championship.

When the final second ticked off and the Spud fans went wild, I couldn't help but think "Jeez, act like you've been to the final before." 😉

Unfortunate result but the Edina I was expecting all year finally came to play. A bit reminiscent of 2023, probably got closer to the mountaintop than was expected upon reaching St. Paul and they're returning A TON next year. Like, the top 11 scorers and Bjorgaard in net, assuming no early departures. That was one of the best tournament games I've ever seen and West had one of the best performances I've ever seen, especially in the first frame. With another year to get even better, there may be some comparisons to the tournament greats of yesteryear being made this time in 2026.

On a separate note, Edina has to clean up in front of the net, three of Moorhead's goals coming off rebounds is suboptimal. Likewise, not sure why the Moorhead kid didn't get a tripping call on the final penalty despite being dragged down if Edina got a penalty for running into the goalie that was caused by him being hooked. Not that it should have been a trip, but there should be consistency in that.

Yeah Edina got about as far as you'd have expected. And they will be loaded next season. They won't be wearing their green on Thursday.

Saw old Moorhead coach Dave Morinville walking by. Well seen him a few times at the tourney in recent years. I'm sure he'll be happy if they win it. Can't see Stillwater winning it. Felt like the final just ended.

Agreed, but I was definitely huffing some hopium earlier in the week. Best D, best coach, undefeated goalie, on returning team from last year's field. But Moorhead deserves to be in the championship with the year they've had.
