I'm interested to know how much thought/effort actually goes into this. The enrollment cutoff is listed as 1019 and above as class AA, but all of those move downs are well above that line. Did these teams appeal, or did they figure out free lunch ratios in those districts?
* Digging into MSHSL by-laws, instead of putting the top 64 in AA, they have the option of putting half of the teams (107) in AA and the other/smaller half in A. So there'd be 54 teams in AA, 53 in A. Which would be better for, umm, everyone. Again, wondering how much thought/discussion there even is for girls hockey.
Lastly, good news with only 7 teams in 2AA now, New Prague won't get outshot 100-2 by #1 Tonka this year. Bad news is they'll probably get outshot 85-2 by #2 Holy Family now.
