3AA yeah ok. STA got robbed!
Re: 2026 Official AA & A Seedings
I'm rooting for STA to come out of 3AA because of this. I'm not sure how much of a role Rosemount played into campaigning with other schools to be the 1 seed, but it feels very petty if there were shenanigans involved. Pretty much guarantees Rosemount being in the 3AA title game.

No it doesn't guarantee anything. Hard to feel sorry for anyone here. I'm sure there is some sour grapes from one coach for sure having a senior leave to play for a certain team last year.ryguyMN wrote: ↑Sun Feb 15, 2026 9:36 pm to plaI'm rooting for STA to come out of 3AA because of this. I love that 3AA is playing at the new UST arena but boy, playing their section final on Tuesday the 24th means the winner will have quite the long layoff. I don't even really like Wednesday section finals. Wish they all would take place Thursday-Saturday. Saturday could be a smaller version of semifinal Saturday with 3 or 4 games.

Yeah I just don't get the (fairly) recent practice of having section finals midweek. I don't want a week or more off before playing in the tournament, which is why I hope 4AA stays on Friday night. In the single class era, 7 was played on Thursday night. 1 & 3 were a double header on Friday night, as was 4. Then 5 & 6 were on Saturday afternoon, as was 2. I don't recall for 8.Brodziak Fan Club wrote: ↑Mon Feb 16, 2026 11:35 am I love that 3AA is playing at the new UST arena but boy, playing their section final on Tuesday the 24th means the winner will have quite the long layoff. I'm very curious if UST will allow students on the club level of the arena. It seats 4K for hockey (5K for hoops), and I'd guess maybe 500 of that is on the club level. It's a nice arena for the Tommies. They've go to grow into it, but the mens puck moving to the NCHC net year should fill some seats, what with the better competition and plenty of Susie and Bull Dog alums in the Metro. High school puck is not going to be a high priority for a D1 program, so I'm not surprised they got in on a Tuesday.
