Moorhead Edina
Difficult for me to see Edina winning with Moorhead's skill.

I’ll be surprised if this game isn’t just like the game we just watched.

I'm an Edina person but gotta say not more than 1 GA lol. Talent comparison it isn't really close.

It’s interesting to me that I always felt Edina was the wealthy team that had all the advantages.
As I got older I view them as the team that still plays old school hockey. They just consistently do it better than everyone else.

This game is tighter than a pair of pants two sizes too small.

Really classy there at the end by Edina. Giles should be embarrassed. This Edina team is a bunch of spoiled babies. Gross. An absolute disgrace to the state of hockey.

It shouldn't. Edina instigated the whole thing.north_bear wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 11:19 pm Oof I bet that scrum will have championship game implications.

Re: Moorhead Edina
Not a good look for the Hornets. Can’t sugarcoat that. A few thoughts on the actual game:
Edina was executing the gameplan to perfection until that cluster of penalties late in the 2nd which caused the ice to open up for Moorhead. Once Edina had to start chasing the game it was going to be tough.
I think they fell in love with setting up McConnell and that took them out of their regular game.
Either play Suter or don’t. Hard to get in a rhythm when he’s just going out for power plays.

No penalties on score sheet so assume they are all good. Refs would have had to make a call and add to score sheet.ryguyMN wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 11:22 pmIt shouldn't. Thank goodness. If MSHSL wanted to make a mockery of its own event, it would have sat Spuds players out.Gotothenetman wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 11:52 pmNo penalties on score sheet so assume they are all good. Seriously? Name names. How many is a bunch? Never got that impression and I've seen most all play since Squirts or Pee Wees.
Be kind. Rewind.

Re: Moorhead Edina
As pathetic as the loser behavior at the end of the game was, I think there a lot of people forgetting that these are still kids at the end of the day, and that they probably did equally dumb things in high school but just had the fortune of not being talented enough to do them in front of 18k people in person and hundreds of thousands more on live tv.

Tucker Johnson for sure. Started it at end of game, then took swings, then tried to start it up again in the handshake line and had to be physically taken off ice by ref. Terrible look. Don’t remember seeing such behavior at end of game in state tourney before. He embarrassed his entire team and community. Take the L and grow up.O-townClown wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2026 12:50 amSeriously? Name names. How many is a bunch? Never got that impression and I've seen most all play since Squirts or Pee Wees.
