End of Season Stuff on leepagen.com

Post by east hockey »

Another season come and gone and it was a great one! Two memorable state championship games.

I was able to get everything updated quicker than usual due to some preliminary work. Here is what's updated:

First and foremost, the final PageStat ratings

https://leepagen.com/ps2026.htm

The weekly ratings have been added here:

https://leepagen.com/minnhockps.htm

Near the bottom of that page are links to the PageStat annual and weekly summaries of all teams since the 1997-98 season.

State Tourney history:

Alone with summaries for tourney participants since 1945:

https://leepagen.com/tournrec.htm

And details for these teams:

Teams' histories, showing their record and end result for each season. You can also check out each team's W/L record for each of their opponents broken down into regular season/sections/state. Another click on each team's page will show their game-by-game State Tournament results (I'll be expanding this to include all the state tourney appearances going back to 1945 some time this summer)

And another page showing each team's section tournament records, broken down into preliminary/quarterfinal/semifinal/final. This covers 1975-2026

What's next? A little project having to do with entering all games played by North Dakota teams (I think I have access to these going back to the 2007-08 season). This past season, I added all these games into PageStat and will do so for previous seasons as far back as I have access. Whether it will have any impact on PageStat's predictions of section tournament games, I have no idea. But it's fun to compare Minnesota teams to those in Wisconsin and North Dakota!

And one more item, borne of a question I posed back in 1998; can tradition be quantified? Can the best programs in Minnesota history be gauged by numbers? A lot of adjustments have been made and it's a purely subjective project, but these rankings are now updated through the season just completed.

And that's it. Have a great summer, everyone!
