Unless they’ve lost a key player that I am not aware of, Maple Grove—with their top three scorers from last year back this season—should be higher than 16. Their best player when they were Bantam AAs as 9th graders—Sammy Nelson—plays for USNTDP now, but Osseo-Maple Grove and Moorhead dominated Bantam AA when next year’s seniors were 9th graders. Cullen, of course, was best player on Moorhead that year and is a USNTDP teammate of Nelson. With recruiting/transfers and private schools, I know things can change at high school, but Maple Grove will be better than the 16th best team in the state this upcoming season.

Jaden Roueche is now at Minnetonka, Wyatt Kuznick is out until mid season. Braeden Eull is now at Rogers. They lost 6 of top 8 scores and another to injury for early part of season.

Don’t forget Bergland has been horrible and considered to have underperformed year after year now. I’m actually quite surprised he’s still around consider how unhappy parents have been with him.

Good grief. Bergland has got to go.
