Looks like a costly too many players resulted in the Game tying Goal and also see that TG starts the 2nd OT on the PK...

Goal Judge threw on his light before the ref blew the wistle for Alex's game winning goal... It looked like TG's goalie had it covered and a player came in and poked it threw. Could be wrong though.

When I left TG's coach was argueing the call. I was at the far end of the rink and I clearly didn't have as good of view as others. But from what I saw the goal judge pushed the button a little too soon and the ref was slackin' with his whistle a little bit. Whatever goes though, congratulations to Alex. :-)

The entire game was very physical.
Lots of noncalls, questionable calls and bad calls as per my above post.

First period 0-0

TG got their first goal on a PP (Mc Donald) after an unbelievably blatant trip left her open to score.

NONCALL on the trip; light up the green.

Alex tied it to end #2 at 1-1.

TG got their 2nd goal on another PP.

Period 3 ended at 2-2.

McDonald was denied the middle for the majority of the game and was for the most part ineffective.

Tough game.

Andrea and Sara Toft each got a goal on their 18th Birthday!
Just had to add that; Proud papa!

Any Q's, ask Palmquist. He saw it after the first.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... d@mnhs>Big Red at: 2/18/06 9:47 am

Alex vs. TG Officials

Post by SportsMa »

Given what you wrote about the officials between both the TG and Alex perspectives, will the schools follow-up in some manner to guarantee that either the officials improve or not ref play off games? Just wondering what the process is there....I assume there is some type of process.

Good Luck to Alex!! I hope the gals who clearly love playing the game together finish at the top.

Red,

I was just stating on what I saw. I am not a TG fan nor a Alex fan. I simply saw what I saw. I stated that I clearly could have been wrong. I'm sorry to upset you in anyway, congratulations to you girls and good luck to them in state.
