Best (Individual) State Tourney Performances?
Bauerfeld on Fri & Bloemers on Sat for SSP were great individual games I thought from what I heard...

Others???

Re: Best (Individual) State Tourney Performances?
err.. Holly Roberts? I dunno you might have heard of her, she did pretty alright I guess.

Re: Best (Individual) State Tourney Performances?
I'd say Holly put on quite an exhibition of exceptional skill.

Darn Huskies!! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/mad.gif ALT=">:">

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... ookyone at: 2/25/06 11:53 pm

Andrea Peterson of EP had a pretty good showing this weekend. A goal and/or assist every game and all tournament. Not too shabby for a sophomore.

I'm gonna have to say Sadie Lundquist put on quite the show for the Lumberjacks in the tourney. Quite the player for being a freshman.

Re: Best (Individual) State Tourney Performances?
Jonnie Bloemers came thru in the clutch with the season on the line. They call that big time. However, in my mind, the MVP is Danika Porter. SSP loses 3 or 4 -0 without her. How they possibly hosed her AGAIN out of the all tourney team is simply amazing. Embarrassing really.

We had a thread on this last year - whatever process used is a joke. It seems obvious they are picking the team prior to the end of the game. Its understandable you need some lead time to get other girls from other teams down there, but then there is NO REASON you need to pick the girls from the champ game til its over!!! The bottom line - the 2 girls who most had to do with SSP winning, Danika Porter and Jonnie Bloemers, and neither are on the all tourney team? They will take their hardware instead, but it is still ridiculous.

Totally forgot about Porter! And I agree about timing of picking the All-Tourney 100%!!!

Pezon. That second goal where she cut back left all alone and riffled the shot under the cross bar was sweeeet.

"Dream as if you'll live forever; Live as if you'll die today." --James Dean

I'm biased, but I was impressed with Feste & Stoa too, from what limited amount I did see on TV & hear...

How about the center for Pezon, Green- all tourney team, player of game Thursday & it showed her as player of the game again in the championship game Saturday on TV. Not sure how many goals & assists.

Re: Best (Individual) State Tourney Performances?
Paige Thunder only gave up 3 goals to EP, not to many goalies did that this year. Also should mention the goalie combo for EP 3 goals allowed all tournament against the likes of Stillwater, Cloquet, & Coon Rapids. I realize EP D are solid but both made some very nice saves.

Re: Best (Individual) State Tourney Performances?
Many woudl agree that the goaltending of EP was key vs CR when they got a good numbre of shots on them in the first & esp. second period?

Re: Best (Individual) State Tourney Performances?
Paige Thunder is a brick wall, and she had a great state tourney.
Duluth East is "out of it"

I thought I said it before too - but I guess not - Thunder impresses me more and more each time I see her play.

Re: Best (Individual) State Tourney Performances?

#4 Schlichting from Stillwater is a good little player. Nothing about her that is going to wow you, but she seems to be very knowledgeable and just does the correct thing.
"Dream as if you'll live forever; Live as if you'll die today." --James Dean
